Hello I barely have any clue what I'm doing. This week, I shall be reviewing the wonderful sljfaq.org Kanji Handwritten Tool which I highly recommend for all levels of learner.
Who
This tool comes from https://kanji.sljfaq.org/ and is brought to us by Ben Bullock seemingly. Other input comes courtesy from Ulrich Apel (2009-2018) who provided data.
What
This tool is essentially an input box which allows users to draw into the box to find a number of similar or predicted kanji outcomes from those strokes. The box creates different colours and numbers based on the number of strokes made with the dots being the end of the line. The site also allows this model of yours to be downloaded as a PNG file. Heres one I made earlier:
Very handy for revising stroke order without wasting paper or just finding a particular kanji if you come across one you haven't heard of before.
Where
Online at https://kanji.sljfaq.org/draw.html
When
Available 24/7, under Creative Commons 3.0.
Why
The Handwritten tool of the sljfaq.org website is a great tool to help when you need to figure out a kanji, but cant find it in tools like the Japanese-English dictionary Jisho.org which commonly unfortunately only carry particle, primitive and radical elements of Kanji learning.
Works great for PC and smartphone users as far as I have used it.
